Important Information That You Need to Know About Your Guarantee -
- Your guarantee for your new mattress, base or ensemble is a FULL NON REDUCING GUARANTEE. This means that we’ll repair or replace your new mattress if you experience a problem due to manufacturing faults or structural defects. This guarantee covers your new mattress, base or ensemble for the entire period of your guarantee.
- The above clause is subject to some common sense, specific limitations. These are as follows...
- Your guarantee shall not apply if your bedding has been burnt, damaged, is in an unsanitary condition or if border wires (upon inspection by the factory) have been bent due to incorrectly moving the product or as a result of individuals standing or jumping on the product.
- If you have purchased a mattress only, and plan to use the mattress on a ‘slat’ base bed, you need to be aware that use of an improper foundation may lead to damage as spoken about above and will not be covered by your warranty. Approved matching foundations (bases) made by Mattress Resources Australia Pty Ltd, or an approved slat bed is required for proper support. An approved slat base bed is one that has flat solid slats which are no greater than 80mm apart. These slats should be secured to the side rail of your bed to prevent movement. In addition to this clause King and Queen size ‘slat’ base beds must have a central rail fitted to provide additional support to the mattress and a vertical rail which leads from the support going to the floor.
- Your guarantee is limited to the original purchaser (on sale of your mattress voids warranty).
- Because of the nature of the product, the upholstery fabric is excluded from the guarantee (See Care Instructions below for some hints on keeping your mattress fabric in excellent condition).
- During the first year of your guarantee, the manufacturer will meet transport charges within Australia. However, if our factory finds no manufacturing or material fault with the product on its return, freight costs will be at the purchaser’s cost.
- After the first year, it will be the purchaser’s responsibility to meet transportation charges in processing a valid warranty claim. Should a manufacturing fault be found, Mattress Resources Australia will refund to you the reasonable costs you have incurred to have your item transported to us. A copy of your transport receipts must be provided to Mattress Resources Australia prior to any refunds being processed. In the event no manufacturing fault is found then your transport charges will not be reimbursed.
- Repair or replacement of faulty goods is at the manufacturer’s discretion.
- Please refer to rear mattress label for length of guarantee.
- In the event that you do observe or sense a fault or defect, you should contact our office for advice on how to proceed under our warranty. You will need to forward a copy of original purchase receipt prior to any action being taken.
- In the event your mattress needs to be returned to the factory you will need to ensure your mattress has been professionally sanitised and a copy of the paid sanitisation invoice is to be provided to Mattress Resources Australia. We will not accept any mattresses into our factory without proof of sanitisation being provided. No loan mattress will be provided due to health and liability reasons.
- Minor manufacturing irregularities that don’t affect the performance of the bed (e.g. mis-stitching on quilting) are not covered under warranty.
- Incorrect choice by the purchaser (e.g. comfort choice or size) is not covered under warranty.
- Issues relating to heat comfort are not covered under warranty.
Body Impressions
- Body impressions are a good indicator of contour comfort. When they occur, this means the mattress construction is conforming to your body’s personal, individual contours and leveling to its final position.
- It is normal and expected for slight impressions to appear on your new mattress, caused by the settling and compression of upholstery materials. Body impressions are not structural defects, but normal indicators of your mattress's specially engineered performance. (Note: the level of settling considered normal in mattresses is up to 25mm on standard or comfort top mattresses and up to 35mm for pillow top mattresses.)
- Body impressions will be more noticeable on Queen and King mattresses. The centre of the mattress is not normally used as much as the sides. You will probably observe a higher area in the mattress centre during the first few years of use. That area will slowly settle as much as each side of the mattress.
- To ensure maximum mattress performance, you should equalise these body impressions. Simply turn your mattress end to end once a week during the first three months of use. Then turn it at least every three months thereafter. This lets your mattress adjust smoothly and evenly to your body weight.
- Handles (where fitted) are for cosmetic purposes only and should not be used to support the full weight of the mattress.
